Bio
Andy moved to America from Belfast, Northern Ireland in the summer of 2002, and started 7th grade at the age of 11. He was gifted in the scientific studies, often winning state and national awards in mathematics and science. It wasn’t until college that he entered the entrepreneurial world however. Lately he’s been immersed in his heavy courseload and his first major web startup - Internshipin.
During Andy’s third year of high school, he applied and enrolled in SIMUW. SIMUW stands for the Summer Institute of Mathematics at the University of Washington. To get in, high school applicants had to solve eight mathematical proofs. All of the attendees were geniuses in some ways. Extremely motivated, Andy attempted to start an web solutions website. Unfortunately, his lack of programming knowledge costed him a lot of time and effort.
Andy has always been passionate in technology, especially computer programming. He decided to enroll in the University of California, Berkeley for their extremely rigorous engineering department. Quick to pick up new ideas, as a rising senior, Andy now understands Scheme, Java, C, C++, php, mysql, ruby on rails, Unix, and server management.
When he’s not working on his ridiculous course load, Andy’s further developing Internshipin, sketching innovative user interfaces, or learning python.

Moses Lake, eh? I grew up in a small Wa town–Bellingham–and now living in the SF Bay area.
I miss some parts of WA–like the moutains–but the CA entrepreneurial spirit is certainly energizing!
